Thank you for being brave enough to share this post with the rest of us, and for being so honest as to say how you truly have been feeling. For the longest time, way too long actually, I have stayed away from the internet, email, phone calls, etc because I felt like I didn’t have anything happy or exciting to share with people. It is in these broken places, in these “pits” of despair that we most need the healing of God and the encouragement and prayers of fellow believers. God is really speaking to me in ways that continue to surprise me daily, and your blog was not a coincidence or a random event. Romans 8:28 speaks to me about all of this, how God can use your hurts and my hurts to bring together good for His purpose. “We are assured and know that all things work together and are for good to and for those who love God and are called according to His design and purpose.”
I love you dearly sister friend, you are in my heart and in my prayers. You are a blessing in my life.

Hey friend, wow…thank you for posting that. I prayed for you immediately upon reading that and will continue to pray for you. I just read the book Passionate Housewives Desperate for God. Have you heard of it?? It really, really is good and reminded me of WHY I do what I do as a wife and mom…my ministry. It was recommended to me from a fellow homeschool mom and I highly recommend it to you!!!!! I’ll be praying for you!!

Thank you, Lori!!! You are so kind in your response! It’s not easy over here–but we know this is where we’re supposed to be and what we’re supposed to be doing. It’s just a pretty isolated life sometimes! I can’t imagine what missionaries lived through before the internet!!! I’m a wimp–not sure I would have survived it emotionally to be much good to anyone.

Oh Lisa, we all go through not so great times and it helps to know that others have rough times as well. We can learn from each other as to what helps and what doesn’t. I know we are all different and things work differently for each of us, but it is still nice to have new ideas. I do wish you would have said something sooner. You my friend are in my prayers starting right now!
